Bobby Miles, My Pick for County Judge

So, let's begin here...

...an Independent or "write in" candidate is not necessarily one that has no party support. Sometimes, they just did not know how much they were wanted on the ballot in time to meet the deadline to sign up. Or did not realize how much they could encourage voters to vote, or how much experience in the real world they have to share with others on many subjects.

I met and talked to one of those people who, in my opinion, should absolutely be in politics and I have talked to many that should not.

The most recent candidate is Bobby Miles. Gene and I had a sit-down visit on our back porch, after I contacted him and requested the meeting. He is a charming, smart, motivated man that has followers pushing him to run for the Jack County Judge's seat. He knows how to communicate and share his knowledge about almost any subject. He also, has a heart for our county and country.

I have known Keith Umphress for several years, along with his wife. They are both Godly people, with huge hearts for people of all walks of life. Judge Umphress has done a good job, and I have no problems with him. He went an extra mile or two to be entirely ready to begin his elected job of County Judge before he even entered the office. Despite the requirements of the law be a County Judge, he went to college in Oklahoma and attended classes to help him be the best he could be. I admired that.

So, this support for Mr. Miles is not about the lack of ability of Judge Umphress.

My support for Mr. Miles is from visiting with him for a couple of hours, paying attention to his world views and listening to his take on how to fix issues and help We, the People, keep and maintain our rights and hold on to our country. He is very engaged in many aspects of this county already.

There are not many people I have endorsed in my career in politics, so this is a big deal.

I think he would make a great Jack County Judge.
