This was an awesome moment! Kerri's son, Johnny, died in a car wreck in 2017. He was really big in FFA and Drew did a resolution honoring him. I had the extreme privilege, as Springer's District Director, of presenting it to his mother at the dedication of the floating dock Johnny designed before he died, as a special project. The City chose to finish it for him.
We attended Bob Wills Days in April 2018 where there was music playing all the time. Lucy Dean Record is an 80+ year old piano player that the Rep. did a resolution for to honor her. Although it was mailed to her, I had the opportunity to meet her before her performance at the Bob Wills Museum. She graciously agreed to take this picture with me. Such a sweet lady.
